Traveling to Oulu

Oulu airport is located 15 km from the city center. There are two airlines that fly to
Oulu via Helsinki.

Traveling to Oulu by train
You can also choose a train connection from Helsinki to Oulu. The travel time is approximately 6 hours depending on the train.

Public transport in Oulu
Bus from the airport to the Oulu city center takes 20 minutes.You can purchase single tickets from the bus using cash or trough the Oulu public transport ticket app. An additional nighttime fare (double fare) will be charged between 11pm and 4:30am.
Bus number 8 or 9 (operated by Oulun Joukkoliikenne) runs between the airport (Oulun lentoasema) and city center (Keskusta). Link to bus 8 or 9 timetable

Taxi:
A taxi ride from the airport to Oulu city takes about 10 minutes. Taxis can be booked via mobile phone (+358 600-30081).
